Co-Momma's for Reader's Digest
I photographed the lovely family of Natasha, Lynda, and son Elaan for Reader's Digest this summer.
Natasha had Elaan via sperm donor, and after best friend and colleague Lynda acted as a birth coach and later helped out extensively with Elaan and his needs, they decided to make her an official parent (without the pair being in a relationship themselves). It was a unique legal case that set a precedent for other Canadians.
Technical Info: Like the previous post (also shot at Major's Hill Park!) I lit these with a Profoto AcuteB2 pack and head combo with a Deep White XL Umbrella and diffusion. We were shooting near sunset so I tried to keep the light wrapping from the same direction as the sun.
I used a Nikon D800 with the new Sigma 24-70mm 2.8 Art (and Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 in the second photo) tethered via TetherTools to CaptureOnePro.
Check out the final images and gear pics below!
